My Experience Using Columbus Ohio Craigslist

My Experiences as Both a Buyer and a Seller on Craigslist

Kay Baxter
I have been an avid Columbus Craigslist viewer, buyer and seller for years. Browsing the Columbus Craiglist sales lists and freebies can definitely be worth a person's time and energy. You never know when you might just find that diamond in the rough!

One of my most recent purchases was my absolute best find. I was browsing through the farm category and saw an ad for a bay pony stallion. Since I breed, train and show American Shetland Ponies I was intrigued. The ad did not give much information on the pony but I decided to email the owner anyway. The ad sounded desperate to re home this pony and I honestly just felt sorry for him. My plan was to pick the pony up, geld him, train him and find him a new home. In my email to the seller I asked if the pony was registered along with some other basic questions. To my surprise, the seller emailed back with the registered name of the pony. I did an online look up in the studbook for American Shetland Ponies and was amazed at the regal bloodline on this pony. Now I was even more intrigued!

A few nights later we went to see the pony. We were very pleasantly surprised at what great conformation this pony had along with his superior bloodlines. Although he was thin and very wary of humans we purchased the pony for a ridiculously low sum and brought him home. As he started to gain weight this pony bloomed. I have now had many opportunities to sell this pony at 20 times what I paid for him.

As a seller on Columbus Craigslist. I have also had fantastic experiences. I have listed everything from a used trombone to a used craft cart. In almost every circumstance the item sold the same day I posted it for sale. I have had to endure a couple of people who made appointments to view items for sale and then did not show up, but for the most part they do show up at the day and time requested.

Anyone buying or selling on Columbus Craigslist should be careful and always be sure you have other people at home when you invite strangers out to see your items for sale. I also stipulate on every ad that these are "cash" sales only.

Recently a neighbor of mine was browsing the Columbus Craigslist "free stuff" category. She came across a big screen television for "free" to anyone who could get there and quickly load it on their truck and get it out of their house. She jumped in the truck with her husband and drove to the sellers home. Sure enough it was a beautiful working big screen television. They promptly loaded it in the truck and took it home. She now has a very happy husband with his free big screen television.

It is well worth a person's time and effort to check the Columbus Craigslist opportunities at least once a day!

I've found a wonderful condo that I'm currently renting, an excellent mechanic, and a very sweet kitty.

On the downside, I have had problems with a "CL Stalker" posting my information after I offered genuine advice on his flagged ad. :/
