My Father's Child

Nancie Norton
I am my Father's child
He makes my life worthwhile

When by others, I'm not treated fair
I can take it to him, he's always there

He lifts me up, and helps me to see
That no matter who they are, they're no better than me

He reminds me, that my father is " The KING "
My family connection, is from "his" heartstring

I am who I am, and there's a reason for that
God made us all different, and put us where we're at

You see, the God who made me, is my Father too
A fact that people sometimes can misconstrue

They see God, as this unyielding, powerful being
And they look past his tenderness, without even seeing!

They don't even realize that he's our very best friend
Some aren't aware of the fact, that he's our next of kin

Well Families stick together, no matter what
And I'm inviting you into this Family that I've got

Because everything I've said, applies to you, too
See, my Father is your Father, who wants to take care of you.

Very good, Nancie! Yes, He's our Father, and also Husband to the widows. In fact, as He so aptly declared: I AM.
