When you walk into My Father's Place you can immediately tell its different. The wait staff always looks up and says hello. The music is not anything that you would worry about children listening to. Instead they play contemporary Christian. The dining room looks like a regular Mom-n-Pop, with framed newspaper clippings and single flower arrangements on the tables.
My Father's Place menu is anything but ordinary for a pizza joint. On the menu, they have pizza, egg rolls, wings, lasagna, buffalo shrimp, and salads. The prices are outrageously cheap. They have an all you can eat lunch special with pizza and salad that is only $3.79. The daily combo includes two slices of pizza and a drink for only $3.49. The most expensive sub they offer is $5.89 for a large combination sub with tons of meat.
Besides being inexpensive, they are also very good. The chicken parmesan is excellent; however, doesn't come with any pasta. The nutty chicken salad is also really good. It is very large and has a generous amount of chicken and pecans in it. The pasta salad has rigatoni pasta, tomatoes, green & black olives, onions, green peppers, broccoli, American cheese, Provolone cheese, Romano cheese, ham, Genoa salami, mixed with My Father's place special Italian dressing. My mother has tried the pesto Sticks which is pizza sticks with a basil pesto sauce, olive oil, and mozzarella cheese. The olive oil is a bit much and makes it greasy. For a pizza joint, the pizza is the weakest thing on the menu. We have ate it several times and unfortunately, while the sauce is very good, the pizza could use extra.
The staff makes My Father's Place in Warner's Robins one of my favorite places. They are always prompt and friendly. Without asking they will bring extra crackers for my toddler, every time they pass him they will talk to him. They make him feel like a star. Another impressive aspect is that other waitress and waiters will actually ask you if you need more of anything. So they treat regular customers like stars too.
So another word to describe My. Father's place is extraordinary.
