My Favorite Fantasy Football Players in the Playoffs

Marie Lowe
With hopes of a Peyton vs. Eli Super Bowl dashed again, fans will have to focus on the possibility of a bird bowl as the Ravens, Cardinals and Eagles are still flying in the playoffs along with the Steelers.

Most of my favorite fantasy players have been eliminated, but a few still remain in the hunt for a Super Bowl Championship.

Those remaining include Brian Westbrook.

Westbrook managed only six fantasy points last week against the Giants and was kept out of the end zone.

However, he is my sixth ranking best over all fantasy football player, averaging 19.74 fantasy points in 27 selections. It was the first time I selected him this season so he finds himself in 32nd place on my 2008 list.

My ninth ranking overall fantasy player is second on playoff list and third on my 2008 list. Kurt Warner has been a top pick both this year and in the playoffs.

Warner threw for two touchdowns and over 200 yards last week against the Panthers. He is averaging 18.27 fantasy points on my list in 11 selections.

Willie Parker of the Steelers is 23rd on my overall fantasy player list and third on my playoff list. Parker is averaging 14.8 fantasy points in 21 selections.

Derrick Mason continues to soar in the playoffs and on my fantasy list. He is 26th on my overall list averaging 13.44 fantasy points in 47 selections and fourth on my playoff list, and 11th on my 2008 list. Mason hauled in three catches for 68 yards and touchdown last week against Tennessee.

Anquan Bolden is 34th on my overall fantasy list and fifth on my playoff list. His status for the championship game is still uncertain.

Sixth on my playoff list, 42nd on my overall list, and 22nd on my playoff list is DeSean Jackson of the Eagles. Jackson is averaging 10.2 fantasy points per game after 10 selections. The Giants held him to 81 yards last week.

Coming in seventh on my playoff list and 47th on my overall list and 20th on my 2008 list is Cardinal kicker Neal Rackers. With the Cardinals scoring a pile of points a game, Rackers is a good pick. He is averaging 9.52 fantasy points in 19 selections. Last week he kicked for 18 fantasy points including three field goals.

Eighth on my playoff list and 51st on my overall list is the Eagles' defense. The Eagle D is averaging 9.35 fantasy points in 31 selections. They recovered three turnovers by the Giants last week. Philly is 16th on my 2008 fantasy list.

Another Eagle ranks ninth on my playoff list and places 65 on my overall list. Reggie Brown is averaging 7.8 fantasy points in five selections.

A bird of another kind rounds out my top-10 playoff list

and is 67th on my overall list and 31st on my 2008 list. Raven's LeRon McClain is averaging seven points after two selections both overall and in the playoffs. McClain scored 13 fantasy points in the first week of the playoffs against the Dolphins but was held to only one point last week against Tennessee.
