My Favorite and Least Favorite IPhone Applications

Super Monkey Ball

Super Monkey Ball is my favorite application for the iPhone because of it's superb graphics. It is one of the best gaming experiences I have ever had. The object of the game is to get the ball into the goal at the end of a course. To control the ball you turn the iPhone and the built in accelerometer registers the movements. My only complaint about this application is that it does not offer the ability to save so you have to start over everytime. Super Monkey is available on iTunes for $9.99.

MooCow Band

MooCow Band allows you to create music using virtual instruments. The instruments it currently offers are "Rock Kit" (different drums), "funky drummer", "bassist" (bass guitar), "grand piano", "12 bar blues" (unique to this application), and "audience". The application allows you to record music and then to overdub it again and again until you have a complete musical work. MooCow Band is available for $9.99 on iTunes.

CubeRunner

CubeRunner is an addicting game in which you turn the iPhone from side to side to control and arrow through several cube barriers. If you hit a cube you lose. The application saves your high scores and allows you to download new courses. The best part about it is that it is FREE on iTunes.

Least Favorites

CroMag Racer

This racing game would be one of the better ones if it offered levels or challenges of some sort. All it lets you do it race for the fun of it with no reward for winning. It does not even time you to let you race against your best times. CroMag is available for $9.99 on iTunes but I would advise you to not waste the money.

Etch a Sketch

Although it sounded fun at first, I was very disappointed with this application. The novelty of it wears off very quickly. This application is just what it sounds like, a virtual etch a sketch. You can either draw by turning the knobs or with your finger. It allows you to change colors but different brush strokes are not yet available. Etch a Sketch is available for 4.99 on iTunes.
