Ingredients

Serves 1
2 slices bread; preferably wheat
1 avocado, ripe
1 red onion
1 container cream cheese
1 jar capers
1 package smoked salmon; preferably wild caught Alaskan salmon

Directions for My Favorite Lunch Recipe: Delicious Avocado and Smoked Salmon Sandwich

1
Prepare bread
Get two slices of bread and cover both slices with cream cheese.
2
Prepare and add onion
Chop red onion into small pieces, add a small amount of chopped pieces to one piece of the bread, using the cream cheese to hold them in place (amount depends on how much you like raw onions--feel free to add a lot or leave out completely as you see fit). Save the rest of the onion to be used for additional sandwiches.
3
Add capers
Take small handful of capers and add them to the other piece of bread, once again using the cream cheese to keep them in place.
4
Prepare and add avocado
Slice avocado thinly. Add 2-3 slices to sandwich. Save rest for additional sandwiches or to eat by itself.
5
Add salmon
Finally, add a slice or two of smoked salmon to the sandwich and put it together, careful to keep the onions and capers from falling.
6
Eat
And enjoy!
Tip
The ingredient amounts are listed in the amount you have to buy them in, not in the exact amount needed for the sandwich. As long as you have a bunch of bread, you should have enough ingredients for at least 4 sandwiches.
