My Favorite Movie Right Now of 2009: Twilight

I have many favorite movies, but my most recent is Twilight. This movie is an adaptation of Stephanie Meyers best seller book Twilight. Not many would know that the book is based on a dream the author one night had, but thanks to that we now are lucky to read her work and now see her movie.

Although anticipated by a growing fan base there are many mix reviews since the movie came out. Many that read the book are left with the satisfaction that it was pretty true to the storyline of the book ,others are left believing it could have been better. Even people who didn't read the book have the same type of mix feelings.

For me it's a recent favorite, because I like the whole concept of the fantasy of the vampire. Not the blood part but the eternal part and the internal struggle between good and evil. The human and the animalistic character in life incarnated in the vampire..

Well first It's been a while since a good or at least decent vampire love story movie has came out on the big screen and Iv always have the feeling their could have been more or better.

Recent movies like 50 days of night, Under world , Blade , Bram stokers Dracula, Buffy the Vampire slayer just to name a few. There are vampires in all these recent Movies but the all have different angles.

The thing I believe that most allures me and most of us wanting a good Vampire movie is ,frankly we want to be able to fantasize in something that is forbidden dangerous , out of the mundane of day to day and a good character to martyr. Some one who is dark edgy ,self torturing.

Bella and Edwards character is a human ,vampire love story. She meets Edward who she is almost immediately attracted to and she feels awkward about herself due to his response of her. Her character seems to care about what others think about her. For me she is the martyr of the movie. She leaves her life with her mom because she wants her mom to be happy and be able to travel with her new husband. Also She shows she is willing to accept Edward and his family and hoping they will accept her into his world.

Edward brooding vampire who I actually like that he doesn't immediately try to be nice. Definitely my favorite character he has that dark edge but just on the surface you know there is much more complexity to the character. He has a sarcasm about him and his situation and he does his best to try to push Bella away until he realizes she is his life.

I relate to Bella's relationship with her dad, he was mostly absent from her life. Even if it was by her mothers choice. When she moves with him there is a actual awkwardness about the relationship there is a lot of love their as we see in the scene when she is forced by circumstances to hurt her dads feelings. It seems hard for them both her to be a daughter him to be a dad. Even the gift with the car I related a lot with that scene. You can see her dad loves her and in a way hasn't been able to get over Bella mom.

One of my favorite lines is .."and the lion fell in love with the lamb" also when they were parting "You are my life now" .The Baseball scene was just plain different from a vampire story I loved it..

So yes I would say this movie for right now is one of my Favorite movies. It has substance and style a Smart vampire movie I hope its sequel is even better I really would enjoy to have a Vampire Romance movie be memorable other than just a TV show like Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
