My Favorite Movies of 2007

QUICHE
Not in any particular order:
1. Black Snake Moan - Never scene a premise like this before for a movie and it was fantastic!
2. 300 - Normally this would be more of a man's movie, but all of those physically cut guys were fun to watch
3. August Rush - I really didn't know what to expect with this one, but let me tell you it was a tear jerker
4. Superbad - This movie was so funny, I really enjoyed it. There was a lot of foul language and situations in the movie
5. Disburbia - Shia Lebeouf - teenager on house arrest suspects his next door neighbor is a murderer
6. Transformers - The robots in disguise was the greatest action movie of the year
7. Balls of Fury - Another hilarious movie with a lot of crazy things going on. Who knew there was so much drama in ping pong
8. I Am Legend - This is one Will's greatest performances the one thing that was really horrific were the gas prices in the movie. If gas is that high in 2012 I'm buying a bike
9. The Great Debaters - My first thought was oh my goodness this movie is going to be so boring; it was everything but. This movie was based on actual events and this fact made me appreciate it even more
10. Things We Lost In The Fire - Wonderful movie about self discovery and seeing the good in others; remember things are just things.
11. Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married - This movie is wonderful for married couples and those just starting out in a new relationship. Single people can learn a lot from this movie as well.
12. Meet The Robinsons- A cute little family film with a wonderful surprise at the ending - it made me cry!!
13. Dead Silence - Think you've seen one scary movie you've seen them all - wrong. This movie made me jump a few times and that is hard to do.
14. Halloween 2007 - Rob Zombie did a number on this eerie remake, it actually shows you how Michael Meyers became the monster we all know and love
15. Pursuit of Happiness - Based on a true story, and another one of my Will Smith favorites. He struggled and never gave up until he achieved his goal.
16. Rush Hour 3 - The greatest one yet!
17. Saw 4 - They just seem to get more gruesome
18. Away From Her - It's a love story about an older couple who get a devastating blow in their relationship. It was an independent film, but a very good one
19. Enchanted - The best family movie I've seen a very long time, it definitely gives a twist on princess movies
20. Fantastic 4 Rise of the Silver Surfer - much better than the first one, and even more comedy
21. This Christmas - A really good movie about what goes on in some families
22. Are We Done Yet - It was better than the first one
23. Hair Spray - If you love a good musical, this is the movie to see!!!! Besides who wouldn't want to see John Travolta in drag
24. Alvin and the Chipmunks - Funny and so very cute and they sing the infamous Christmas song!!!
25. The Hitcher - I heard it was a remake, but I have yet to see the first one. That hitchhiker was demented!
26. Norbit - It wasn't the best movie in the world but the parts that were funny were really really funny
27. Premonition - Another movie that I almost didn't see, but it was pretty darn good.
28. 30 Days of Night - A very interesting vampire movie
There were about twelve other movies that I saw as well but didn't care much for them

The Pursuit of Happiness was a good film for Will Smith to select.

Definitely enjoyed "Black Snake Moan" and "300" among others. Great list!

I also read that the other "went on to" line for her guy was "he was never heard from again", rather than "became a preacher". The first would have worked better with the composite characters conversation earlier when she asked him if he would take her with him when he "disappeared". I still think it was an excellent movie. because their was much truth in the fictionalized parts. Your movie reviews are excellent.

I saw very few movies in 2007. Seeing previews for The Great Debaters had me thinking this movie is going to be so good, I can not wait until it is released. : > I did get bored at one point in the movie but found it overall excellent. I was oh so disappointed when I later learned, that even tho' it is based on a true story, two of the debaters were composite figures and there was no debate with Harvard. Denzel disappointed me on that one. At the end of the movie "went on to become" scrolled as scenes from the movie replayed. That seemed false "advertising" being that the female I adored was not real and did not go on to becoming a lawyer. I simply expect better from Denzel.
