My Favorite Thing to Do During Summer is Fishing

All year I wait for the summer to come because that my friend, is fishing time. I love fishing and try to go three times a week at least. What can be better than going out to a lake, sitting on the sandy shores while listening to the constant crash of water on wet earth? Plus an upside to this is that it is quite cheap compared to other summer activities like water parks and other things like that. There's nothing like the feeling you get when you start to get your first bite. Your heart rate just skyrockets and you can't seem to keep your hands still. You're just waiting until that fishes takes that bait and then WHAM! You set the hook and the fight begins.

One of my own experiences- Me and my buddy both love fishing and decided that the weather was perfect to go try and catch some fish. We went and got our tackles boxes and fishing poles which we bought at www.cabelas.com hopped into his truck and headed out towards our local fishing pond. As soon as we baited up our hooks and casted out into the water it was almost instant success, and my friend had caught two fish the first five minutes! For some reason the entire time I was there I couldn't get a single bite and I had gotten very frustrated. To make matters worse a couple dark clouds had rolled over our heads and I was worried that it might start to rain on us. My friend continued pulling them in like crazy I mean it was unbelievable that I hadn't even caught one! I told him that "I'm not going to leave this pond until I catch one stinkin' fish!" Well I stayed there all night and still didn't catch anything, but that was just one time and usually I'm the one slaying the fish. There is a reason it's called fishing and not catching I guess. Now that I look back at it, this was just another good time hanging out with my buddies and that's what fishing is all about.

You haven't been before? - Well fishing is really simple to do all you need is a pole with line, some hooks, and bait then your set. I'm sure that somebody you know would like to go fishing with you and could even show you how it's done like my friend showed me. This is a great way to get to see the outdoors, hang out with friends, or even try going fishing by yourself to blow off some steam when you get angry at something.
