My First Mistake Today

What was I thinking when I sat down on this chair?
In front of my computer I know it is not fair.

I want to spray my fruit trees,
The directions to pump and prime,
Are somewhere under yesterday's
Coffee grinds and wine.

(Actually not really wine, but it kind of ryhmes.)

I gave up on that project,
I need to clean my floor.
But sidetracked by the phone ring,
Then had to talk some more.

While I am getting ready to get down on my knees,
The light on my computer,
Began to make me sneeze.

I need to check my email,
Only for a sec,
Then I thought,"oh come on,
Oh what the heck!"

I lowered my not so tiny buttocks,
Down onto the chair,
And now I wonder if I will ever get out of here?

Now I really need to get to work. I am obviously not going to get any articles done that I had passionately promised myself that I would. It is kind of a supposed to be fun day. I am meeting a friend. My weekend, ended up more work, although all enjoyable, so I think I deserve a break but being the good little workaholic that I am, it probably ain't going to happen as I have planned. I am going to meet a friend though for lunch and we will walk. God forbid that we should not do something productive.

The weather is beautiful and it is spring, so it is important to grab these enjoyable days when you can. Have a great day and week dear friends.
