My Guiding Star

Mother's Day Poem

mellifluent
God made this world and God made us
The story of my life is narrated thus ..

I was born amidst great fuss and joy,
For my family I was like a toy;
Today this fact I also enjoy,
No regrets whatsoever that I wasn't a boy.

My family taught me to walk and speak,
Never allowed a moment seem bleak;
They instilled values to reach the peak,
And perseverence for goals I wanted to seek.

But she was the one who moulded my personality,
With a distinct touch of individuality;
Helping me be rational and think with clarity,
And put great stress on originality.

Like a guiding star who has always shown me the right way,
Is my wonderful mother whom I salute on "Mother's Day" !
