My Heart Belongs to You

It's early in the morning, still dark outside and I rather stay under the blankets

But I have to go to work and if I don't get up now, I'll never make it.

The mortgage company, the electric company and even the IRS all own a piece of me or two

But what keeps me going is my heart, because that still belongs to you.

I'm not a rich man. In fact I can barely pay the bills.

Knowing I'll be working for the rest of my life sometimes fills me with chills.

But even though I can't cover you with diamonds or some other rare jewel

I've already given you quite a bit because my heart belongs to you.
