My Heart Longs for You

O. Harding
My heart longs for you Arizona,
With your purple mountains high,
Your scorching sun and desert sand,
Remind me of my own dear land.

Your Cacti tall and numerous,
Your flowers bright, it's miraculous,
What a wonderful sight to behold
The story that yet goes untold.

My heart longs for you Arizona,
Your people so pleasant and free,
There's no other state in America,
That dare compares itself to thee.

My heart longs for your rich culture,
A blend far richer than gold,
Where indigenous races and others
Intermingle to make one whole.

My heart longs for you Arizona,
I'll be back before I depart,
When I return the whole world will know,
'cause from you I'll no longer depart.
