Alright everyone I have found the most wonderful, informative, and I dare say this, most perfect website on the internet. Two of the most wonderful and wholesome, down to earth people have created this website. They gave me a very high honor this weekend in allowing me to do an interview with them.

They are Paul and Bernice Noll and their website is www.paulnoll.com. If you do not visit this website I have to say that you are missing out on a great opportunity and learning experience. Here is the interview with Mr. and Mrs. Noll.

1.) If you don't mind me asking, what are your ages? And please tell the readers a little about yourselves.

2.) When did you start your website?

1999 in China

3.) Where did the idea of beginning an internet website such are yours come from?

Let people know more about China/ The American press does an abysmal job of presenting the real China

4.) What exactly do you wish for people to learn on your website?

About China, Korea, Korean War, Canning, Birds, Flowers and Trees of Oregon, tourism in China, and Pacific Northwest, and our family and hobbies.

5.) Where have your travels taken you in your life time?

To some 40 countries. Paul has a pilot's license and we owned our own plane for some 25 years. We flew our plane to about 35 countries.

6.) Where is your favorite place to visit and why?

China. We love the people and the country.

Korea. Paul spent 2 years there in the Korean War in 1950-51

8.) What do you enjoy most in life?

People and the land/

9.) What are some of your favorite hobbies?

Making things in my shop and building things on our 11 acre home. Photography, Computers and linguistics.

10.) What is one very important piece of information would you like to share with the readers out there?

You are only limited by your attitude towards life and things.

11.) If you could change one thing about you past what would it be (if anything at all)?

Nothing. We look forward not backwards. Tomorrow we can change not yesterday.

12.) Who do you feel has been the most influential person(s) in your lives? Or who do you look up to? Why?

Our parents and each other.

13.) If you could meet anyone in the world, who would he/she be? Why?

Ronald Reagan. He had a lust for life and loved every minute.

14.) Where do you get such wonderful recipes for your website? They are awesome by the way.

Paul's mother ( a divorced lady) had 4 boys and taught them to cook. She raised the 4 boys by herself. Paul started cooking at the age of 7.

15.) What do you see coming to your website in the near future?

Not sure what the next idea will be. For example my son asked for a friend of his for some help on canning. That started the set of pictures and step by step instructions. A friend who loves to photograph wildflowers visited and was thrilled to share them with the world through our site. A friend in China with a vision contacted me about featuring old books and memorabilia about the Great Cultural Revolution and that resulted in thousands of new pages. A Chinese friend shared some information about Chinese Opera and that prompted me to research Chinese Opera characters and that started new pages. My two years fighting the Chinese Army in the Korean War got me interested in Chinese history. In 1990, at the age of 59 I decided to get a degree and completed that. We are just interested in many things and have a great love for life and answers to things. New ideas just spring up.

These are two of the most wholesome and down to earth people I have ever talked with. At 80 and 77 years of age I don't see them slowing down for at least another 20 years.
