My Jesus

tries to trick me, using my weaknesses,

im broken by those lies

time ticks slowly, Im falling away,

Although I know I'm being Decieved,

He tells me everything I want to hear,

and that HE'S the right one for me,

Im fighting in this battle zone,

this war is for my soul,

I want to end it all right here,

but I'm afraid to let myself go,

I call out for you, once again,

and your light pierces the dark,

I'm ashamed for ever questioning,

those safe, merciful arms,

You pick me up, Forgiven,

and again you cleanse my heart,

like so many times before, I've fallen,

but you never let me fall too far,

He won't find me in the darkness,

no mask, no disguise,

your truth pierces the night,

and I can see through, all those lies,

his words may sometimes tempt me,

I may at times need to be saved,

in the arms of my Jesus, He washes it all away.

and I am FREED of those CHAINS.
