My Job is Mom

The Life of a Stay-at-Home Mom

Ann Linton
Yup, I have a job. I even like my bosses. I am a Mom. I never planned on being a Mom, but then again I didn't plan on falling in love with a younger guy or president of my college Spanish club. I just don't plan things in general. But I like my job, I know it won't last forever.

I'm going to miss these days.

My bosses will grow up and I switch rolls from Mom to Teacher ( home school of course). When I'm a Teacher I want to be a great one, trips to the zoo, traveling the States.... we are even saving money for a year long Volunteer vacation. I think I'll make a great Teacher.

I know that job will end all too soon.

I'll go from Teacher to Friend ( not that we aren't friend right not but this will be when my kids want me to be their Friend) and my daughter and I will share secerts, hang out and I will , at times, teacher her life/home/mom skills. My son and I will be great friends too. We will pull pranks on each other and gang up on Dad and Little Sister.

Then shortly after this job, I will find myself with out a job.

My bosses/students/friends will be off at college or starting a life doing what they want. They will keep me in their lives, I will worry about them and share their joy and pain but I won't be able to help them all the time, I will have to stand back and let them go. My new job will be as a wife ( a job I suck at right now although my husband loves me this way) I'll have to re-learn this job but hey I'm not too worried, that's a long time off.

Right now I'll love my job as a Mom to two of the greatest booses ever.
