My Leader, My Father

A Short Poem for Father's Day

Tripp Stanford
Building camp fires,
Bandaging scraped knees,
Raising a sail to take on the seas,
Holding steady while climbing trees,
My Father can do anything, and never tires.

Loving strict and stern,
Teaching to ride bides,
Leading the family on nature hikes,
Protecting from dangerous frights,
My Father can do anything, and I can learn.

Working long hard hours,
Providing love, food, and toys,
Recording all of life's joys,
Perfecting grace and poise,
My Father can do anything, unlimited powers.
