My Life

For All of the People Who Have Subscribed to My Writing, and Everyone Else Who is Interested..

Jason Freeden
It has been quite a while since I last put something up on this site, and believe me I am very upset about that. I love writing a lot, but Paypal screwed me over big time so I cannot receive payments from this site. But should that stop me from writing and entertaining my fans? Probably Not... But the "making money" part sure does help pay the bills. I am one of the writer's that has the royalty of having a 9 clout rating, which means people either enjoy reading my content or they just like reading how bad they think it is, but whatever the case is, I apologize for not being on here as much as I used to.

My life has been very hectic as of lately. Writing used to be a full time gig for me and it was great money, I just couldn't keep up with slack, but that doesn't mean I can't do it, I just chose to stop because I needed to get away from the computer so I started working full time at Circuit City in the technology department. Retail can be very annoying, but the experience is great because I am one of the leading salesmen in my store and I enjoy talking to other people, so it works out to my advantage. Retail is tough because you need to perform well to make the store look better, and I believe I obviously do a great job at that, but perhaps I just don't feel too great about myself in that field anymore?

For the last four months, it has been non-stop Circuit City with me. I haven't had much time to myself for anything, especially things I enjoyed doing a lot more before I had a full time job outside of my office (where I currently am now writing), but that will all be changing as there is a good chance I will be leaving the City for other things. One of the biggest things in life is school, which I will be attending (just not sure where yet), I enjoy playing basketball and would love to take that up in college. I am interested in writing a lot, so perhaps journalism or an english teacher could be up my alley. Sports management was another thought too though.

Circuit City had it's ups and downs, I would enjoy it for a week, then it would be a down week another, but what I learned from Circuit City was to take that extra minute and explain things out for people, because that extra minute could be the turning point in a sale (metaphor= conversation or anything in life for that matter). Surely there have been many meeting between my bosses and myself because seeing that I am going to hurt the company in a way if I leave, it hurts me to leave, I tell myself that everyday, but I can't make this my career. The only possible thing I could do is work part time there and go to school, but do I still want to take up retail?

Bringing writing back into the picture, I would love to do it again, I also have saved up a lot of money over the months from working at Circuit City so whatever I have to do to bring my Paypal account back up to positive standing would be a great thing, it's just I did nothing wrong. =( I talked to a few of the top dogs at AC and there was not much they could do, so all of the performance bonuses weren't even going into my account, which was a good chunk of change, so I just ask Associated Content if there could be another method of payment somehow? I enjoy writing so much, but unfortunately I am not the richest person in the world, so the money does help.

I have taken the time to write this for no payment (only performance payments obviously), so take this opportunity to comment back to me to chat with me or you can simply take 5 minutes to see how I am doing currently. I wanted to especially update all of the people who take their time to read my work, I highly appreciate everything and thank everyone. I love this community and I will not be leaving anytime soon, don't worry! =) Getting back to my life, I have one week left at Circuit City, but there still is a chance that I will be staying, this decision lies on the manager and assitant manager of my store. If it isn't meant to be, I will be working somewhere else. I was offered a better job opportunity money-wise, but I don't really want to go there, so we shall see what happens. Only time will tell.

Don't pay attention to the ignorant negative comments. We all get them. Notice they signed out before commenting? That explains a lot! They're cowards! Anyway, great article, and hopefully you don't have any more PayPal problems. I've been fortunate with PayPal - so far.

Thanks, I think my writing style might be a bit different than others, but I wouldn't say my grammar is bad. My thoughts used to jump around a lot more, but I have been working on that little problem.

  • Lisa Anderson 1/20/2008

Honey, don't quit your day job for writing. Your thought jump around and your grammar is not the best. I'm glad to hear you're going back to school.....but if you still haven't chosen a school, it's unlikely that you'll be starting soon enough--so get going on that goal.
