My Life

Terrie Lewis
My life has created unending journeys not yet experienced
The paths led me astray and empty at times
Joyous and breathless are too many to count
A world outside that seems untouchable for me

I want for those who I have yet to meet
Travels that seem impossible now are my future prophecy
I pray for differences I have yet to make
But patience is something I cannot give

For it all to end before I make my mark troubles me
Memories seem to fade with time, as does my pain
My purpose, small and strong, has touched many lives
A reason for me needing to continue my quest

My life will lead to journeys not yet experienced
Where it takes me is ambiguous and uncertain
Will it lead to bliss or sorrow is unknown
I only ask for more time to find my purpose
