My Life, as Mr. Kitty

Hello,

I am Mr. Kitty,

while I can be quite stubborn,

sometimes, I am just a great big loving furry baby.

I enjoy basking in the bright warm sun,

and even curling up in the lap or on the shoulder of my loved one.

One day, I decided to show up on the porch of my little family,

and from those few years ago through today, they decided to take me in

and love me.

I await their return from work and school at the end of each long day,

So that I can quickly bolt out the door to go outside and play.

As a kitty, perhaps I could never be so lucky,

that this family decided to take me in and adopt me.

At first, I was just a friendly stranger

but once I curled up in that young lady's lap,

I knew that my heart had captured her.

It was a few scraps here and there,

Little pieces of cheese, lunchmeat or whatever they could find and tear.

Before I knew it, it turned into large bowls of scrumptious flavorful cat food,

With all of this royal treatment, you can bet, I gave them my loving attitude.

I hope that I get to stay for many years to come,

I believe in my heart, that this family,

is my forever home,

My dearly chosen ones.
