My List for Most Overrated Actors and Actresses

Way Too Overrated Celebrities

Silly Puss
A lot of celebrities spend some time on the overrated list and after awhile they usually bow down and let someone else take the spotlight, some however do not. These are the actors and actresses that have been in the spotlight for a little bit too long now and are being way too overrated by not only their peers and fans but themselves as well.

Matthew McConaughey; Now this guy is not highly entertaining he's just high. He offers nothing in the way of actual acting. Playing the same role in every single film he does; I'm sure it's no stretch for him at all to play a woman chasing bad boy. His conceit was amusing at first but now it just seems overdone. It is probably all that time spent in the sun that has made him so loopy. Not entertaining unless you are watching him for the view alone.

Dakota Fanning; I know that she was great in I Am Sam and a few other roles very early on in her career my problem is this; since she first came out as that cute little girl she has had no time away from the camera since. Constantly making movie after movie after movie, why? Sure she is an OK actress for a child but the older she gets the worse roles she has had and it seems to just be going down hill for her now. I'm bored of her already, give another girl a chance at acting. Seriously Push what a lame excuse for a movie. No longer any substance in her movies. I for one can do without Dakota Fanning for awhile a long while.

Kate Hudson; She got her start thanks to her mother Goldie Hawn I just do not find her as endearing to watch as her mom was though. Now Goldie was not a great actress herself but she was sweet, funny, and most importantly likable. I find nothing likable about Kate Hudson. She is not memorable, plays no character that has anything real to offer the audience other than a short laugh and even then it's forced. Any role she has ever played could have been played by any other cute blond actress in Hollywood.

Jodie Foster; My biggest problem with her is her horrendous voice, I just can not watch anything with her in it as soon as she starts to talk I must change the channel. Her acting skills are OK but not as great as everyone gives her credit for they are mediocre at best, her movies tend to bore me and yet she never goes completely away coming out with a new movie every so often to just remind us all that she is still around.

Jason Statham; Where did he come from? I don't understand the hype about him at all, one day no one and the next a big action star. He can not act at all, is boring to listen to and his so called action flicks are completely lame. His new found stud like status with women baffles me as well, unattractive and boring all around.

Katherine Heigl; I am not sure why people think that just because they had a good role on a television show that they should now become movie stars. Her movies are a snooze fest, even for women to watch. She does not know when to keep her mouth shut either and because of that she is now paying the price with a terrible script on Greys Anatomy, I say good rid-dins.

Mike Myers; He was funny in Saturday Night Live but as soon as he started acting off of the show he became a great annoyance. His movies are all slapstick but not good slapstick just the kind that makes a person uncomfortable to watch. His characters are way too absurd and offer no good laughs. He is in the top twenty list of highest paid actors and that's just way too much money for someone whose movies offer nothing other than forced laughs and uncomfortable jokes

Nicolas Cage; I now he is a fan favorite and I liked him back in the eighties but it's not the eighties anymore and I'm tired of watching him in films that no longer require any acting from him. He used to be good, Raising Arizona was great and anyone who has ever seen Wild At Heart knows what a great role that was for him, almost all his eighty movies were worth watching. Now however there is nothing, even his action movies suck, no longer worth watching at all.

Morgan Freeman; He is a like-able guy on screen and off but whether he is playing a good guy or a bad guy it never changes he is always the same I hate to say anything bad about him but at the same time I just can't find anything good to say either.

There are many should be on the list. But not Jodie Foster and Morgan Freeman, they are just great.

Morgan Freeman is an excellent actor. His face is alone enough of a script. He was amazing in Seven and Shawshank Redemption.
why not the absurd penelope cruz?
Nicolas Cage is a very fine actor able to play almost anything.
