My LIttle Goddess, a Poem

Tribute to My Daughter Kathy

robritt

God gave me a special gift to brighten up my world
A goddess oh so precious a charming baby girl
When she was but a baby I held her to my heart
I prayed she'd never grow up so we would never part
Too soon she grew to be a woman then became a bride
then my little goddess left me to stand by another's side
Now I know more deeply then I ever knew before
We don't lose our children when we open up that door
to let the world surround them or watch them make their way
you only add new facets like the sun has many rays
My goddess is more precious now then when she was so small
For I am prouder still as ever, she is growing tall
in wisdom worldliness and love but she'll never ever be
what others think but always a little goddess to me

Beautiful tribute. Beautiful poem. Beautiful words. And a beautiful daughter. I'm not sure I know how to write a tribute to two rusty boys who have blessed my life. LOL.
