My Little Prayer

Lord, are you still awake?

It's ten yet I want to bake

I was about to sleep

When my mind dug so deep

Hear my little prayer

For my eyes now so wet

I am happy today

Though you gave no sunny day

Not even cold nor bare

Too like a calm weather

At first my problem was the pot

That burnt me for it's hot

Then it was the cat

That turned me into a mad bat

Now, I thought of the fact

That I was once clever as a fox

Once wise as an owl

Once jumpy as a hare

Or was busy as a bee

Now I befriended a He

Who I wish to accompany

Dear God Almighty,

This one comes from a lady

And she's but me

I want to thank thee

For having met He

I want to smile thee

For the thought of He

I want to cry thee

When he's feeling empty

I'm just indeed lucky

On the day you gave He

I admire and love He

For He's kind to his family

Look how they made He

They're just too lovely

Please be there to see

That they live in glee

And entirely healthy

From today through eternity

Thank you Dear Lord

For you made me sleepy.
