My Memories of My Little Girls "Firsts"

When you have your first child you try to mark down every milestone your child makes in their baby book. Thank god I remember some of mine, but then others I sort of just wrote the months down.

I always will remember her firsts and where we were. Unfortunately, her first night sleeping through the night wasn't long. It happened once when she was about a month old and then she kept waking up until she was about 2 years old. YES, two years old and finally sleeping through the night.

Her first tooth didn't come until she was about 11 months old. She was very late in this stage and I just kept checking week by week and FINALLY we saw something.

I will always remember the first smile. As all my other family members kept telling me "ahh that wasn't her smiling, that was her just having gas," I still think it was her smiling at me because she knew I was her mother. When they smile or say momma or dada for the first time it just melts your heart. You wait and wait for this moment and then when it happens, it might just be a glitch that they say it, but you make sure that every one hears what they just said. Many children first say dada before they say momma just because it's an easier sound to say then an "m." But when you have your first baby, you will always want to mark down when all the firsts were so you have that memory for ever and you can share it with them when they are older. And of course to embarrass them when they bring their first "real" boyfriend/girlfriend home to meet the family. What parent doesn't do that?
