My Morning Coffee

It's a latte or a roast
I like gourmet the most.
The first cup is a lift-me-up...
the second cup I like to sip.
So much I can conquer
after this.
Motivation is then in my
psyche and creamer is
a plus.
I use sweetner instead of
sugar and being hot
is a must.

A cigarette it's compliment,
although non-smokers like
it's aroma and flavor to start
their day yet unspent.
Coffee and donuts is a
policemens' trait.
Mine is a yearning and
if it's "on time" it keeps me
from being late.
I'm a drinker not a sipper
It makes the morning "of"
seem chipper.

Drinking coffee with a
friend promotes
conversation sometimes
about personal and world
news such as what's
happening to the nation.
It helps unleash creativity
in me for poems and
writings.
An invitation for drinking
it makes my life more
exciting.
