My Most Memorable Birthday Party for My Son

We just moved into a new house, and a lot of Family and friends have yet to come over. My sons 4^th Birthday was just a few weeks away and we decided to throw him a birthday party. We had about 75 people show up and 16 of them were kids.

In the previous weeks we decided just to get him a few things for his Birthday, and spend the rest on food and gift bags for the kids. I spent $200 total for the whole thing, and my son made out like a bandit.

We were not expecting this many people and when my Husbands friends showed up with a beer keg I knew there would be an after party. About 40 people stayed for the after party-all night. About 10pm my son was almost passed out so I carried him up to bed. I was putting him to sleep and he said mom is it over? 'I told him yeah sorry bud' he said 'again, again mom. I said maybe next year sweetie.

We did not have a big party the next year it took me 2 days to clean the house. He had a modest little party with his friends that is how it will be from now on. Adults will be allowed through the door as long as they leave with their children or when the party is over.
