My Mother's Day Poems

Make It Better

When I would fall and scrape my knee,
You would make it better.

When I would wake up from my nightmares,
You would make it better.

When I felt bad for doing something wrong,
You would make it better.

When my heart was broken,
You would make it better.

When I was too scared to face the world,
You would make it better.

And through all this, I know that you
Have made me better too.

So Proud

"I'm so proud," she'd say,
As I showed her my scribbled Crayola landscape.

"I'm so proud," she'd say,
As I took my bow in the third grade play.

"I'm so proud," she'd say,
As I brought home my perfect report card.

"I'm so proud," she'd say,
As I started high school.

"I'm so proud," she'd say,
As I became a young woman.

"I'm so proud," I say,
As I look at the beautiful woman that is my mom.
