Never let them see you cry;
it would be worse than to die.
They only want to see you hurt;
they'll walk on you as if you're dirt.
Never let them see you shrink;
only let them see you think.
Never fall within their will;
into your heart, they will drill.
They want to know how you feel inside;
so, never, in anyone, confide.
Never show them you feel pain;
then they will know what they have gained.
it would be worse than to die.
They only want to see you hurt;
they'll walk on you as if you're dirt.
Never let them see you shrink;
only let them see you think.
Never fall within their will;
into your heart, they will drill.
They want to know how you feel inside;
so, never, in anyone, confide.
Never show them you feel pain;
then they will know what they have gained.

Post a CommentIt so sad that so many of us feel the need to build protective walls to keep people out. Sometimes it hard to trust.
I learned this a long time ago. Weakness often means you drop in the pecking order and one day get pecked to death by others.
