My Name is Erick Davidson #20

"Desperate Housewife's Desperate Husband"

Cameron is standing in front of the open door staring wide-eyed and nervous about the potential blunt trauma awaiting himself and/or Erick. "Hi!" he offered with a high-pitched voice. "We'll buy whatever you are selling."

"Are you the Erick who yelled at my wife and kids earlier today?" asks The Hulk while Cameron attempts to step out of view.

Erick pauses Dexter, turns around, gets off the couch and heads toward the door. "I am, but I certainly did not yell at anyone."

"Then why was my kid crying?"

"I don't know. You're a pretty imposing guy, he doesn't cry when you speak to him?"

"Why would you ask that?"

"Because I just might."

The Hulk laughs. "My wife actually sent me here to do just that but I want to find out what happened first."

"Please come in," Erick offers. "Can we get you something to drink?"

"Water is fine. Thanks." The Hulk says as he walks through door, which Cameron closes behind him. Erick ushers him to a chair at the dining area table and heads into the kitchen to get retrieve some water from their Sparkletts cooler. Erick isn't sure if Cameron and/or Damon are still paying for the delivery, but jugs keep arriving so he doesn't say anything.

Erick returns from the kitchen with two glasses of water and gives one to The Hulk before taking a seat across the circular table from the largely constructed neighbor. "Cameron, are you joining us?"

"Nope, I'll just stand here just in case things escalate," Cameron replies while maintaining his position leaning against the doorway wall and facing into the dining area.

"Quick escape?"

"Exactly."

The Hulk laughs. "I'm not here to escalate."

"Considering your size, who would want to anyway?" Cameron asks.

"Good point," The Hulk concludes in agreement with Cameron. "Nichole is a wiry little thing so there can be a lot of escalation where she's concerned - especially when it comes to the children."

"With four under the age of ten, it's understandable," Erick says.

"I like children as much as the next person, but we didn't plan on having four." The Hulk explains.

"How old are they?" Erick asks.

"I have no idea. There are too many them now to keep track," The Hulk replies.

"Any more children and TLC will approach you guys about a reality show. They are probably looking for a new family right now," Cameron adds.

Erick shoots Cameron a look. "I am placing you on 'ignore' until you join us at the table."

"What is TLC?" The Hulk questions.

"It's the Learning Channel. They have a few popular reality shows that I don't watch."

"Oh, ok. With the four kids and a hefty case load, I don't watch much TV."

"What do you do for work?"

"I'm a lawyer."

"Am I being served?"

The Hulk shakes his head. "Nope, I'm here in bailiff mode."

"I knew it!" Cameron interjects. "He's gonna bash our heads together."

"Ignore him," Erick says to The Hulk.

"You're on your own then, Jodie Foster." Cameron responds as he heads back to the couch. "I'm going back to Dexter."

The Hulk rises and follows Cameron into the living room. "Are you guys watching Dexter?" he asks as he sits down next to Cameron. "Of all the shows I don't get to watch, I love this one the most."

"I hope your wife won't mind you cavorting with the enemy," Erick says as he also makes his way over to the couch and sits on the other side of Cameron from The Hulk.

------------------------------------------------

"What's so funny in there?" Nichole bellows through the door about two hours later after a series of impatient knocks.

"The door's open, Nichole." Erick bellows back.

Nichole barrels through the door. "I hear a whole lot of laughing in here."

The Hulk turns around and waves enthusiastically at his unenthused wife. "The boys and I were catching up on Dexter."

"Evan, you were supposed to talk to them about yelling at our children," Nichole reminds The Hulk as she made her way over to the couch where he was still sitting.

"But dear, they have Showtime and I haven't seen Dexter in awhile," The Hulk replies in protest to his fuming wife.

Erick looks away and whispers to Cameron. "How cute are they? He's sitting down and she's standing up but they're almost the same height."

"Well, we have to go now. You have children to look in on. It's the least you can do since I bathed them, read them stories and tucked them in while you were here playing 'Man Show' with the neighbors. Now say goodnight." Nichole tells The Hulk as she takes him by the hand and leads him to the door. Erick follows.

The Hulk follows his spitfire wife to the door and turns around. "Goodnight, fellas. Same time, next week?"

"Is your wife coming with?" Cameron asks from the couch while flipping through channels.

"Evan, tell these gentlemen not to yell at our children again," Nichole commands from beside The Hulk.

"If you have a problem with the children, please let either of us know." The Hulk says politely to Erick and Cameron on behalf of his protective wife.

"We will." Erick politely responds with the same placating look that is also on The Hulk's face.

"Actually it was Erick doing the yelling," Cameron reminds Nichole and The Hulk from the couch without looking back from the television set.

"You're still on 'ignore' over there," Erick reminds Cameron.

"Evan, tell these gentleman that the next time we have to discuss this that drastic steps may be taken," Nichole tells The Hulk.

"Hey guys, I don't want to have to make y'all cry." The Hulk offers with continued placation on behalf of his stressed out wife.

"Now let's go." Nichole commands as she heads out of the apartment and back to hers and Evan's.

Evan shrugs his head and extends handshakes to his new neighbors. "I don't know why she thinks she needs me. She's a third my size but three times as scary." He concludes as he closes the door on his way out.

Erick walks back over to the couch and sits down next to Cameron. "Do you realize that if Nichole had been the same size as The Hulk we would have been in a lot of pain by now," he asks.

"I'm still going to keep my distance from her in case she has a growth spurt," Cameron concludes.
