My Neopets "Key Quest" Project (Week Two): Summer Prizes, Silver Keys but Still No Paint Brush

Miss Fortune
Until about a year ago I never played Key Quest with any regularity. The game would take forever to load, people would quit and there were a lot of glitches that would cause a game to end without warning. When that happens you don't get the Neopoints you have earned while playing and there are no keys rewarded; that also includes when someone leaves the game because they are not winning. Even if you "lose" you still get NP and a key. I started tracking the prizes from Key Quest when I would play a few games every day; when they had the Spoo-Key Weekend that earned you double keys for each game played I spent more time accumulating them. No one can tell you what you will get for a key redemption, if they tell you they have some secret code or know "inside information" they are probably setting you up for a scam.

Here is the list of my most recent key prizes; there are a lot of the special summer items given out but there are still the older junk items that are selling for 1 NP on the Shop Wizard.

1. Silver Key - "Ogrin Survivor", "Cloudy Sky Background", "Camouflage Scallop Shell"
2. Silver Key - "Orange Kreludan Bed", "Book of Origami Paper", "Deep Seashell"
3. Silver Key - "Chuchuana", "Toast Treats", "Life Is Good"
4. Silver Key - "Maraqua Colouring Book", "Pimplepepper", "Tiki Magnets"
5. Silver Key - "Lemon Swirly Negg", "Kazeriu Stamp", "Techo Mountain"
6. Silver Key - "Eo Codestone", "Gelert Prince Stamp", "All In A Days Work"
7. Silver Key - "Icy Negg", "The Plushie Coffee Table Book", "Regular Sand Smoothie"
8. Silver Key - "Grundo Inspired Dresser", "Small Fruit Basket", "Large Avocado Smoothie'
9. Silver Key - "Chuchuana", "Roast Gargapple Stamp", "Hanging Fruit Basket"
10. Silver Key - "Bri Codestone", "A Kau Summer", 'Straw Tiki Hat"

The only good things that I got were the Neggs and Codestones. The different smoothies and wearables are nice to hoard and as you can see there are still a lot of the cheap stamps and cheap books handed out when you redeem keys at the Vault. An average game lasts about five minutes so if you can get two or three Neggs or Codestones per ten keys it isn't that bad of a deal when you consider the NP that you are earning when playing / completing a game. I played the Sweet 1 and Sweet 2 board when earning these keys; so far I have not seen a pattern of getting different or better prizes when playing the other Key Quest boards but who know, maybe there is one that I am not aware of yet.
