My Night in Duluth, Minnesota-Touring Bentleyville Tour of Lights

Tonight my newly crowned wife and I took it upon ourselves to finally get down to the Bayfront Festival Plaza in Duluth, MN and check out the Bentleyville Tour of Lights. The Tour is completely free however depending on where you park will cost you between 25 cents at the meters for a half hour to 4.00 dollars in the Bayfront Festival Plaza Parking Lot. Their is a shuttle service that provides free rides from downtown Duluth to the park as well. After you find a spot to park your car you walk up to an entrance littered with lights and straight ahead a castle front fully done in Christmas lights in perfect sequences that resemble bricks.

It is quite spectacular! You then veer off to the left and walk through a tunnel coated in red lights and start your tour passing free cookie, popcorn, and marshmallow stands with fire pits along with passing Reindeer's and other volunteer Santa Helpers. That is right everything is free however donations are accepted and should be on your list of things to do while at the Tour. The tour runs from November 27th through January 2nd, 2010 from 5pm to 10pm. We were fortunate enough to take in the tour early as the weather was absolutely gorgeous for a December Minnesota winter night. This venue is perfect for a first date, family outing, or with friends and being so close to the Canal Park area why not take in a night out on the town with drinks and a meal.
