My Nomination for the 2009 PMA Contributor of the Year Award

Some people consider the PMA Contributor of the Year Award the grand daddy of all of the PMA awards. Though there are many Contributors of Associated Content that are deserving of this award, it is my opinion that none is more deserving than Crystal Ray. Aside from; Luke Beatty, Patrick Keane and all of the AC staff, Crystal Ray is the face of Associated Content.

She is the face of Associated Content, because the magnitude and the duration of the successes that she has enjoyed on the site rise to hall of fame levels. She signed on to Associated Content on July 1, 2005. As of January 14, 2010, she has produced 1,883 articles and accumulated a staggering 14,268,128 page views. Additionally, she has gained 688 fans. I published two articles on May 20, 2009 that served to congratulate Crystal on reaching 10,000,000 page views and to introduce her to the world at large. At that time she was only the second Contributor to reach this milestone. This alone highlights the extent of her Associated Content success. Please Let Me Introduce Crystal Ray

In April of 2009, Crystal won her first Associated Content award. This was for the Best of Associated Content Award for March of 2009. The content topic was gardening.

Obviously, she won this award, because she published quality content on this topic. However, as I pointed out in my nomination for her in this award: Crystal Ray Wins the March of 2009 Best of Associated Content Award, not only does she promote Associated Content here in house, but she advocates for the company in cyberspace as well.On her Contributor Profile page is this following timeless article:

Though it was not written in 2009, it has and will continue reach many Contributors every year and assist them in their pursuit of developing an online presence on sites such as Associated Content. As such both Contributors and Associated Content alike benefit from her wisdom.

Currently, Crystal Ray is ranked number two in all time page views on Associated Content. However, when current activity is factored in, she has the most page views of all active Contributors. In addition, Crystal Ray ranks number one in average page views per article among Contributors who have published at least 1,000 pieces of content. These accomplishments allow Crystal the opportunity to carry a unique torch of responsibility for Associated Content.

Many new Contributors or Contributors who look to improve or resurrect their Associated Content experience, after a bit of searching on the site, will inevitably end up on Crystal Ray's profile page. There they will be blinded by the light of her success. Naturally, they will seek her advice and words of wisdom. I can attest to this phenomenon, as it happened to me. Crystal has always treated me kindly and she always steered my ship straight. Importantly, I have never heard a negative word spoken about her. She isn't the loudest voice. However, she shines as the one of the brightest star in the sky and with her beaming ray she guides both new and old vessels into Associated Content's port of success.

There are a multitude of Contributors that are successful on Associated Content. Additionally, these same Contributors and others offer both their time and advice. This I know, because I can personally vouch for it. However, the sheer magnitude of Crystal's accomplishments put her in a league of her own. Both her successes and her attitude have withstood the Associated Content test of time. For the year 2009, the year in which she reached 10,000,000 page views, I believe there is no one more deserving of the PMA of the Year than Crystal Ray.
