My One Wish

Mrs.Rogers
How I love the smell of candles from pine to peppermint.

Remembering times from the past

of traditions that will last.

The brightly colored Christmas trees,

all displayed for all to see.

Hearts that are merry and cheeks that are rosey,

favorite songs that are song, in a choir or at home.

Loved ones coming in from near and far away,

stopping by, as this is the Holidays.

Thankful elderly people in their homes,

receiving that love dinner, wrapped in aluminum foil.

Knowing that there is still caring about, they eat with

an enthusiasm, that someone had actually came by.

Hearts that are grieving of loved ones that have passed,

who can't be here like the last occasion.

Maybe Thanksgiving or a Holiday celebration.

Worry is carried in caregivers of small children, can they afford

what is expected or wished for?

Will this be a glad Christmas this year? Will there be plenty of money to go round?

Or must the faces be down, because of the lack of money or gifts.

Have been working a whole lot of hours on shifts, trying to pay

for all the requests, and especially trying to give all the best.

Pockets are empty, charge cards are gorwing.

People will spend without even knowing.

Some religious group will be all a glow,

spreading the message, we all should know.

About what Christmas should really mean, to everyone, and should be seen.

There is a great story of a man long ago, who is recorded in the Bible.

He came not from man but virgin enduced, inspired by his heavenly father.

Many will choose him as their inspiration, and listen to his proclamations.

This year at Christmas, make your self familiar, with the reason for the season, Jesus Christ.

Then heavy hearts, and burdened people can undergo treatment right under a steeple.

Everywhere, in everyplace, it can be seen on every man's face.

A reason for living , his reason for dying, the promise of Life Eternal, and

one of the greatest gifts known to man, Jesus.
