My Opinion of the Abortion Amendments in the New Health Care Bill and the Bill in General
"Thou Shall Not Kill"......"Thou Shall Not Steal". (Holy Bible)
Abortion is the heart of the issue here. This has been a very devise issue since the Supreme Court ruled in Roe v. Wade that abortions were legal. In case you did not know Norma McCorvey (the woman who was Roe in the case) had the baby and later joined the pro-life movement. I hold too many opinions to mention on abortion. I am a Christian and do not believe in abortion. I fail to see how anyone who claims to be a Christian can support abortion on demand. I personally would not have one, but I do understand them in the cases of rape and danger to the mother or baby. I think there are many people who would vote for a candidate who would destroy our country if that allowed tramps to murder a baby and side step responsibility instead of someone good for the country. Obama is a prime example of this. Many democrats try to use that as an issue against republican counterparts knowing how mindless some supporters are. I have voted for pro choice candidates even though I am opposed to it. I think the country does have some other issues to worry about than just abortion. I think that is contemptible. I further think people like Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden and anyone who claims to be catholic should be excommunicated. A man named Adolph Hitler once thought he would play God and decide who is "fit to live and who is not". That is one reason I never figured out why Jewish lawmakers like Arlen Specter can support abortion or judges like Ginsberg. Also the last time I checked it takes two to tango. Men have no rights in this case. If they don't want the baby and the woman keeps it they get stuck paying support. If the woman wants an abortion but the guy wants to keep the baby there is nothing the man can do. That is a double standard. A man is forced to be a parent but woman are not. I don't think men should be able to walk away, but I think this is one argument one day that will shut down the Death mills (abortion clinics).
I have written some articles on the socialist idea of Barack Obama that is Obamacare. People who support liberals tend to want something for nothing. That is were most of the support is coming from for the bill. There are some good ideas in the bill like trying to make sure people can get insurance and modifying how easy it is turn get turned down for a pre-existing condition. I have heard of people denied coverage or charged outrageous premiums because of taking more than two medicines. The bill also has some junk in like cutting 500 billion from Medicare. The liberals claim they will be done by cutting down on waste yet there are pet projects that both parties have that could do that. Senator Mary Landrieu (who might be known as former senator soon) lent support to this because of a bribe of 300 million in an earmark for Louisiana. While I think it is good to do things for your state I believe that to be the second Louisiana Purchase and similar to what Clinton did in getting his first budget passed (by one vote by Al Gore) and NAFTA. These cause a backlash that brought conservatives to power for the first time in U.S. history. I should not be mad because I think this will be happening again in the next couple elections in 2010 and 2012. The legislation is really unpopular and many people don't want it and have told their senators and congressmen that. Landrieu, Lincoln, and other senators who have allowed debate saying that is was not a blank approval of the bill. The reason is that once debate starts all they need is 50 votes. Joe Biden could then cast the tie breaker. Landrieu and the rest of them will probably vote against the final bill in order to say that they did not support it. The reality is that intelligent constituents will realize this and kick their butts out of office.
The first abortion amendment was done in the House of Representatives by Representative Bart Stupak (D). He and several other democrats would not support the bill without insuring the tax dollars would not be used to pay for abortions. They passed what was called the Stupak-Pitts Amendment. This basically said an abortion could not be covered in the public option (which was a part of the House of Representatives plan) or any exchange private plans in the even that exchanges were set up. There is debate on if this sets abortion back or not. Some say it does others say it don't. It would be an accounting trick to try to claim the money is kept separate that is taken in. The government can't even run social security so I doubt they could separate money effectively. There are many pro-murder advocates (who believe in abortion on demand). I think people should pay for it themselves anyway and that insurance companies should not have to cover it. The bill passed the house by three votes and the only republican to vote for it said he would not had the Stupak-Pitts Amendment he would not have voted for it. There were other democrats who would also not have supported it. IN addition more democrats voted against the bill than republicans did for it. Therefore the only thing that was bi-partisan was the opposition. There are also liberals who say they will not vote for the final bill with that language still in there.
In the senate there was an issue made by Nebraska Senator Ben Nelson. He is very against abortion and has said he will not support a Bill with either a public option or that does not have strong anti abortion language in it to insure tax payers dollars are used some bimbos can side step responsibility ( of course rape, and danger to the life of the mother are mitigating circumstances). Majority leader Harry Reid did have a vote on weather to put the amendment in the bill and it was defeated mostly on partisan lines with the two disgrace republicans from Maine voting against it and a couple courageous democrats voting for it. He has now stated he may join republicans in a filibuster if this does not get put in there. He was joined by fellow pro-life Democrat Bob Casey jr. of Pennsylvania as a co-sponsor. Casey has said he won't vote against the final bill just because of the issue of abortion.
Like Landrieu and Lincoln, Nelson was one of those votes in states were Barack Hussein Obama is not very popular. He is playing games. He knows that by allowing the debate to move foreword he can vote against it but and claim to have not supported it. He would do this knowing full well that most likely the initial vote will seal the political fate of many democrats. I wonder if they really can be that stupid. There are things more important than the legacy of a president that should not be and making history. It does not matter if you are a democrat, republican or have common sense you should do what is good for the country. Last I heard we have the highest unemployment in the last 26 years that the false messiah did not magically cure like many who voted for him though would happen. We are fighting two conflicts with more troops heading to Afghanistan and that moron Obama is making healthcare the top priority? I think we have other things to worry about like the economy, jobs, getting the democrats spending under control, and stopping the invasion of our country from illegal aliens and the anchor babies. They are leeching off us like cockroaches. I think we would solve much of the budget deficit by dealing with the illegal immigration problem by getting rid of birthright citizenship since the child is the product of a crime and hence the parents are working the system plus all the crimes they commit and so forth. Another thing important here is that this bill will have you pay now but not see benefits for about 2 or 3 years. It is very possible there will be a much more responsible congress by that time that could undo this.
