Quickly after President Obama was sworn into the lofty office of the Presidency, he was faced with a multitude of problems and issues to deal with. Overall, I believe he's been working hard to better the economy and to address many of the problems. However, I feel like he may be trying too hard to be popular as evinced by his appearance on the Tonight Show with Leno, where he accidentally let a nasty joke about handicapped folks slip out. If you ask me, he was setting himself up by going onto the show. However, there's nothing inherently wrong with it, but I just feel uncomfortable with the idea. Perhaps it's because there's just so much work he needs to do, that his popularity with media avenues may be a bit of a distraction. In any case, overall I think that so far he's worth his salt and is earnestly trying to improve things.
