My Passion for Film Making

Armen
Over the years there has been a dramatic change in people's interests. New technologies like the television, cell phone, video game consoles, cars and computers. People now-a-days love to watch television as it has become a great entertainment device with a great amount of channels, and different quality formats like HDTV. People love playing with the new cell phone technology, now having the ability to download music and videos directly onto them, and using the cell phones to browse through the Internet and checking E-Mails. In addition, people are now able to communicate in ways that people fifty years ago couldn't even imagine doing; using computer instant messaging, the Bluetooth technology in the car, conversing with other players with a headset using XBOX Live. Basically, people's interests are changing, and so are mine. However, I have developed an interest in a field where motion means everything.

A small device with a spherical shaped lens, surrounded by a variety of buttons specifically designed to execute certain functions, records what you see onto a small piece of equipment called a tape; the Camera. I have developed a great interest, a passion in "Film Making". To be able to capture a moment, and watch it twenty years from now is absolutely fascinating to me. To see people's reactions and appreciation for what you do is the greatest feeling I have ever received. But that is just one of the many reasons why I find Film Making incredible.

The process of Film Making is actually the combined use of a camera, computer, music, and television. In order to create a final product, you need to capture your footage with you camera, edit it using a computer, adding music and effects, and then finally testing it on a television. And that is what I do; I take advantage of what the world of technology has provided to me to produce what I love. I love telling stories, and show emotion and feeling, using motion picture. I love to hear and receive feedback from people, and I love being able to show people what I see through my eyes.

I read a quote once that said "Do what you love, and you'll never work a day in your life," and it has been stuck in my mind ever since. The truth is, with Film Making being my career; I will wake up every morning with a smile on my face, not having the negative thoughts of going to work, or thoughts of sleeping for just five more minutes. Film Making has changed my life in every way. My confidence has increased, I've met amazing people, and I've made people appreciate me and my accomplishments. Film Making is my life because the second I turn my head to a different direction, I get a new idea of what to capture on Film.
