My Personal Experience with Goji Juice

Goji Juice has made such a difference in my life. The minor health issues that I have suffered with for literally years no longer bother me.

There are many brands available. What really makes the difference is how the berries are processed and the selection of the berries used. My personal preference is the brand made by FreeLife. From what I understand, they use a cold-press process instead of heat-treating the berries. My sister was introduced to this product several years ago. She has some annoying health issues - very severe allergies, both to pollen, as well as an allergy to natural vitamin C. If she comes in contact with certain items, like tomatoes, oranges, etc. her hands may itch as well as her mouth. She also has trouble with irritable bowel, and occasional asthma. After she started drinking this juice, within a short period of time she was able to handle and eat fresh fruit and vegetables. Eventually, I started trying the product. My problems were severe migraines and allergies. I was on expensive meds for my migraines ( yes, I still had them after getting divorced!). If I wasn't careful I would have severe reactions to the prescriptions from the doctor. I finally discovered what I was allergic to when I was cutting down the daisies for winter. It did its job, but who wants to keep taking something like that everyday if you don't have to?

Well, after about three or four weeks of just taking a few ounces a day, I went off the Allegra to OTC sinus pills. Within a few more weeks, I stopped taking the OTCs. It has been two years since I have had a sinus infection. It has also been just as long without a severe cold or flu. If I sometimes felt like something was trying to start up, I just would take a few extra ounces, and it would nip it in the bud. Even if you do come down with a cold or flu, the juice helps you to recover faster.

My migraines have been non-existent. If I feel a headache trying to start, like from stress, PMS, etc, I will take a few extra ounces, and almost every time the symptoms disappear. Some other benefits were my nails growing stronger, my cravings for carbs diminishing, better sleeping habits, and even some weight loss.

What has really convinced me about this product is what would happen when I would run out for an extended period of time. Within a few weeks, my sniffles and headaches would come back. My cravings, especially for chocolate, would return. I would not sleep well and my nails would break. Once I would return to the juice, within a week or so, everything would go back to normal.

My children are on this juice as well. Even while other kids would get sick during the school year, my children did not, or else it was shorter in length. Even though my son is a new diabetic, I believe that this helped to keep it at bay longer. Now he takes it to keep his sugar levels even. From what I understand, this product is very beneficial for Type 2 diabetics. The great thing, no interactions that I know of with any kind of prescription drugs. I have to take a thyroid pill every day, for instance. I have not had any problems with the juice affecting my medication. In fact, my requirements for the thyroid pill has lessened. I look at how many people take one med, and then another, to fix the side affects from the first, and on and on goes the cycle. The sad thing is that they still don't feel good.

My sister's friend has a baby who is now about 2 years. During the first year and a half of his life, he was always coming down with something. He now drinks the juice daily, and he no longer gets sick. One day, my sister offered him a small glass of the juice, or a Popsicle. HE PICKED THE JUICE!!! The juice has a spicy fruity taste to it and goes down easily. With my limited budget, to make it last longer, I may not take as much as the suggested amount, but it still does the job.

This is one product that I truly believe in. There are so many wonder cures on the market that are not as great as they claim. This is one product that truly does what it claims!
