My Personal Story Regarding My Son's Birth

When I was pregnant with my second I woke from my nap to a different kind of pain, it is called labor. With my first son my water just broke. I called my Husband on his cell phone he was barbequing with my Mom in the back yard. I explained to him that I do not feel very good and it might be time.

They both came up why I got ready to jump in the shower. I have a very difficult pregnancy and they told me it is probably nothing. As they walked out the door my Mom says if your water breaks call me. Sure enough my water broke right as she turned around.

My Husband starts to get very nervous he is scared to death of delivering the baby himself. We have always played practical jokes on each other since day one. I told him don't leave yet I feel something-It's the baby's head! He instantly turned pale, and I remember about his high blood pressure medicine so I let him in on my joke. My Mother and I were laughing to the point of crying. I was in a lot of pain and in between contractions I was laughing all the way to the hospital.

We will always share this memory it is one that my Husband will laugh about now, but not at the time.
