My Personal Top Ten List for 2008

Juliet Cook
Ten areas I plan to focus on in the New Year:

1. Write more poetry

2. Read more poetry

3. Expand my independent poetry press, Blood Pudding Press (www.BloodPuddingPress.etsy.com), to publish more material by other poets

4. Write more reviews of other poets' material

5. Develop a deeper and more multifaceted personal awareness; work on overcoming personal obstacles and mental blocks

6. Cultivate and work on evolving my most significant interpersonal relationships in the realms of marriage, friendship, and family, focusing on authentic communication and non-complacency

7. Try to become healthier in the realms of eating, drinking, exercise and maybe even improving or expanding my cooking skills

8. Try to get better in touch with some ideas about how to age gracefully and alleviate related insecurities

9. Try to attain a better balance of alone time to focus on creative pursuits and quality time with others, including making some new friends and occasionally stepping out of my own comfort zone for social opportunities

10. Work on my self esteem, especially in such areas as caring less what others think of me, being more comfortable with and secure about my own personal choices and priorities, being myself, and loving myself the way I am; become more accepting of myself and also more accepting of others
