My Personal Wish List of Gift Ideas for Travelers

Paula Andra
Some of these items I don't have and would surely love to have and the other items I have things similar to them. This list of travel supplies are some of the basics that help a trip go more smoothly. These specific choices are representative of what you might want to get for the traveler or budding traveler on your list. I'm listing these particular travel essentials to give you an idea of what is out there for the budget minded traveler and to also show you that you can outfit that traveler without breaking the bank:

ETA Digital Luggage Scale:

Luggage Retriever LR-01:

This sure beats the different colored identifiers that we all use to distinguish our suitcases from the crowd. The Luggage Retriever LR-01 costs $17.00 and is easy to use. It can locate your luggage up to 60 feet away. Your suitcase can be identified by touching the button which lights up and rings. It's safe to take through the airlines. Batteries are included. Travel Smart All in One Adapter:

This product costs $10.00 and is available site to store and on-line. This is a combination of the four most common adapter plug configurations in one unit. Packing Envelopes:

I still see a lot of opaque toiletry bags being offered for travel. However, for air travel it's wiser to use transparent bags so that you have less problems with security. Transparency means less concealment which means less hassle with security. The graduated sized set of seven is $13.97 and is available on-line and site to store.
This item is made from PVC mesh is water resistant and is easy to clean.

Lewis N. Clark TSA Padlocks:

A pack of 4 pack is $17.99. These locks are TSA certified which means that they can be opened by security without damaging the lock. This is a necessary fact of life. If you want to keep your packed items relatively safe you need to lock your suitcase, and if you want your locks to survive a TSA inspection they need to be TSA recognized.

Sydney Love Vintage Hotel Notebook Agenda:

Ever since my mother-in-law gave me my first Lutchi agenda I've wondered how I ever survived my trips without that handy little organizer. It helps to keep my trips sane and chaos-free. This notebook is $19.80 and is made of vinyl/PVC. It has a polka dot lining and includes a calculator and pen. It is furnished with credit card slots in a 6-ring notebook format with a snap closure.

Security ID Luggage Tags:

I've seen the metal and the leather tags available at a much higher price and they would be a good investment if you can find a guaranteed way to insure that they will always arrive safely with your suitcase, because they are more durable than the ones I'm listing here. However, in the years that I've been flying the rather chaotic skies,
I usually lose a couple of these tags every year. These will stay on longer than the tags that come with those snap chain attachments.

This package has a set of 2 tags which come in red or lime green and the package costs $4.98. It's available on-line or site to store. The tags snap close over the name and address.

I planned to teach college art in studio & history. But I needed to home school our son and did short term missions instead, which benefited from my education. I write about the trips I take for our ministry.  View profile
