Number one on my list of viral videos is "Parisian Love", by Google. Being that the year is relatively new it should be no surprise that one of my picks started not on YouTube but as a Super Bowl advertisement. Since then, however, this video has truly become viral with just shy of 5 million views. As an online, and Google, fanatic this video illustrates how you can really find anything you want with the right search phrase. The video, with soft background music, shows a man searching on Google for romance abroad; finally narrowing it down to finding a woman in Paris to meet while he's visiting. It's a nice romantic video that plays on my daily life - finding anything and everything with a simply Google search.

Soft Heat, by Natural Gas Belgium

Second up on my top picks for 2010 viral videos is "Soft Heat", a commercial from Natural Gas Belgium. Although a commercial, this short film is really a masterpiece. It illustrates the warming effect of natural gas, sending the commercial message, with brilliant film work. This video utilizes stop motion techniques to show knit wool covering, and thus warming and insulating a soft manner, an entire home. The man hours put into this alone make it impressive but the quality of the final piece is equally as awe inspiring. As far as commercials, especially for products or services I have no interest in, this is truly a notch above the rest.

My final pick for the top 3 viral videos of 2010 is a bit different than the previous two; this one is a low budget yet exceedingly humorous non-commercial piece. What I'm talking about is, of course, the "160 Greatest Arnold Schwarzenegger Quotes". Truly, there is nothing better than hearing some of the greatest lines to come out of our favorite Austrian-American movie start turned "Governator". With classic movie quotes such as "I'll be back" and "Hasta la vista" to purely comical moments of him later on in his political career this movie is sure to bring a smile to even the most reserved of your friends or family.
