My Precious Gifts
A Year of Poems: Day Three Hundred and Fifty-Eight
We managed to steer around the rocks
The best times far outweigh the bad
And tied our troubles to friendly docks!
God granted us two beautiful children
Who have truly made us proud
They each married someone we love dearly too
And we're not afraid to shout it out loud!
Our children have blessed us
With grandchildren we adore
One fine young man and four beautiful gals
These kids are so great we couldn't love them any more!
My sister and her husband
Are a joy beyond compare
With two daughters and three grandsons
So close and so much fun to share!
Friends plus fans and followers on Y!CN
Round out the gifts so dear
I give great thanks to the Lord above
For great friendships over the year!
