Young at only 32 weeks- she was a fighter.
Precious as any little one is, she was tiny weighting in at 3 lbs 15 ½ oz.
Rushing each day to see her in NICU, I was hoping she had gained weight and a good nightly report was waiting.
Each day was iffy- some gain, some loss. Watching so many struggle with every day functions.
Cuddling her close with "skin to skin" technique hoping it would help her grow.
I wanted a child so very bad and when put in the situation, I didn't think twice of bringing her home.
Outside the NICU waiting to see her, I cried as I saw mothers leaving with their newborns.
Understanding that God has a reason for everything and knowing she was in good hands helped me thru it all.
Scott my brother going with me thru it all was a blessing as well. Ronald McDonald houses are so very nice to be able to be close.
Kaitlyn came home 4 weeks later- early for a preemie but with oxygen and a heart monitor. She finally was able to suck a bottle.
Angels were watching over her thru all her tribulations because 12 years later she has no real medical issues.
I thank God so much for what he has given me- I hope I can raise her right and to His likings.
Today is a gift from God- that is why they cause it the Present- she is God's Gift to me as all children as His children.
Loving and Kind and so full of life and inspiration, that is my precious Kaitlyn.
Young at heart I hope she will always be as she has been my rock thru so many trials and tribulations.
No one could ever replace my Kaitlyn... she is one in a million! I love you Kaitlyn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Post a CommentVery nice tribute, good job !
Please note.. I have bolded the 1st letter of each sentence to spell 'My Precious Kaitlyn". I tried to make the letters bigger but for some reason I was not able to edit it this way.
Thanks to everyone!
Beautiful, thank you for sharing this! God Bless Kaitlyn!!!
I know all children are precious to their parents, but I had no idea how much you went through with your special girl Kaitlyn. You both grow more beautiful to me as you slowly open up and share in love and friendship with me. I love your heart a. You are a remarkable, strong, beautiful woman.
