However, the proudest moment that I will cherish for the rest of my life is the fact that my son's first word was "Mama." As a work from home mom, I spend many 24/7 with my son. Not only do I face the challenges of work assignments, accomplishing tasks and running a business from home but I also deal with a toddler who'd love to turn the entire house upside down. As a true mom confession, there are days when stress gets the best of me. Moments when I feel like I cannot accomplish my daily assignments or have enough time to play with my son.
I do know that I'd rather have my son home with me than have him in full time daycare. We spend a lot of time together, which has built our bond. My husband refers to the two of us as a "tag team", and it is very much true. My son is very much a part of me, as much as I am a huge part in his life. His first word was a proud moment for me for many reasons. It made me feel that all the time we spend together will make him a better person. I want him to grow up to be a respectful and honest young man. He will be taught to treat women like gold, and to always respect a woman. The first woman he has to learn to respect is his mother.
