My Rant About the Welfare System in America ..
Welfare Sucks, I Never Want to Be on that Program Ever Again and I Can't Imagine Why Someone Would Actually Prefer to Be on Welfare Than to Actually Work!
If you are working 20 hours a week do not expect to see a lot in the way of benefits. If that part time job pays too much you might not get any benefits at all. If you are working full time and make more than $9 an hour do not waste your time. If you live with other people, everyone in that house should be poor. If one guy is making good money, but not enough to save up enough money to put down on his own place (or is just too cheap to do so), you can forget about it. It would be better if the entire household was making $9 an hour, than for one person to make $15 or more, another to make the same part time and you to be at minimum wage.
I cannot speak for welfare queens with five children who do not have a driver's license, but I cannot stand the welfare system. Asking me questions that you already have the information for (from the IRS) because you want to see if I am going to be honest about my finances and where I have. All of that information is already available at your fingertips.
Plus the people that are taking your claim that make a decision as to whether or not you will get any funds have the nerve to look you up and down. When I was working, if I can remember, my tax dollars were going to pay you to give someone else this money not that long ago? So now you act as though you are making a lot of money and there is something wrong for me and that I need to get it right. This is just a temporary setback.
But then of course you have these people that just want to use welfare that do not want to work. Where are these people at? If anything, people are using the welfare system as a blanket to fall back on, but they are getting money through other means. They may work under the table so they do not have to pay taxes. They may be working enough in that they can stay on the program, which is around 15 hours or less. They might also quit a job before they have to report that income and have the benefits reduced. If anything, they make sure that they do not make enough money so that they have to pay the full rent on that Section 8 apartment, but they aren't relying on welfare completely.
In fact, the measly amount of money that welfare or any other government program, such as "disability" or Social Security, is not enough for anyone to live off of. If you spend your food stamps right you buy practical items and you actually have some food in the cupboards the next time the "stamps" are deposited onto your electronic card. If you are a fool you buy $12 steaks, barbecue ribs and $3 boxes of cereal and run out of "money" for food in a week and a half. I played that game before, and it is a fools game.
The best way to do it is to find a pantry that will take pity on you, usually some church somewhere typically a Catholic church and get money for your utilities and a box of generic food in white boxes with black lettering. Or if it is name brand food, you will end up with a lot of bread and other odd items that people who actually go grocery shopping should buy but don't because they are too busy buying sandwiches from the delicatessen or expensive cuts of meat. They may or may not give you anything if you are already getting food stamps though, that is contingent on which church you go to and when you go (or if you go too often, because they would not prefer to see you again for 90 days to six months if you do come in).
If you are lucky you might get $200 dollars; get everything on sale there is no law that says you have to pay full price for your groceries, at least there was not when I was on welfare but that was like 15 years ago so check with your jurisdiction. I just do not see how someone could want to stay in a housing project (or even a Section 8 home) for the est of their life. I guess I should speak for myself. Well that is all that I have to say about Welfare in this country. Thank you for taking the time out to listen, and to read this article ...

Post a CommentCarnicerias and other little liquor or cash register stores are using food stamp money (your and my tax money) for ALCOHOL AND CIGGARETTE purchases. All they do is run these unapproved items as “Misc. Food” on the receipts. As simple as that.
Did you know when children get SSI benefits under mood disorders and ADHD for example, some parents have reported on drugging them so they misbehave during SSA psychological interview. Thus, psychologist deems them “unstable” and Ta dah! There goes approval for SSI benefits (monthly payments for parents of $600 plus). How about the SSA start running blood test on applicants to see what could be influencing their behavior during their interviews?
People are suppose to E-Verify new employees, that is fine. How about when people apply for tax money funds (WELFARE, WIC, FOOD STAMPS, HEALTHCARE),how come they do not get e-verified? Most people that are illegal or have warrants out would get caught so quickly. The government needs to nationwid
That's the thing, people are lazy. Not everyone on welfare is, but some people on welfare don't want to work because it's WORK! They want to be taken care of. Some of them feel like they are owed that.
