My Reaction to Discovering My AC Work Has Been "Discussed" on the AC Forums
In trading some PM's with an AC pal of mine I learned quite offhand that my friend discovered me and my work because at some point or points I have been the topic of discussion on the AC Forums. Clearly my awesomeness is legendary, and that is as it should be! Seriously though, I was surprised to discover this and frankly quite pleased about it.
I would be a fool if I did not freely admit I can be quite controversial. Some of it is by design, but allow me to assure readers, 90% of it is unintended. I have been told I am "quite the character." I have been told I am "a mess" which I know is a compliment in how it was offered. As I wrote long ago, I am "Earthy" and like that appraisal. To me I am just uncomplicated in many ways.
I am not adorned with all the BS of PC. I don't care if people do not like the truth...I don't determine what the truth is, I just ferret it out and repeat it. If one has a problem with it, tuff titties. I don't care who is offended by honesty. Again, not honesty to be hurtful, angry or to play one-upmanship like a teenage girl, but honesty in telling the dead cert truth about politics and such.
As well I understand why some would "discuss" me and my work in a different forum other than "to my face" and I do not find this to be anything tawdry or concerning at all. I can be fierce in defending myself if I am being attacked merely cause one does not agree, so I get why it might be best to discuss my points, topics and manners of presentation not in the comment section of my work. Frankly I'd give a month's PV pay to read what others think of me and my work...candidly, meaning not in the midst of my defending my work.
I can only imagine what others would say. Well frankly I needn't imagine as I know what many think, but I would love to see those with the guts to at least man up and say it. I respect that ya know. I respect anyone with the courage of their convictions and better that they would express them in the proper forum, in this case "the forums" as it turns out to be. If they did so on an article I would take them to task for ad hominem attack and not taking on my points fact by fact or opinion by opinion. At least "the forums" are the proper venue, so kudos for getting one thing right at least.
As to my personal feelings at what horrible things may have been or are still being said about me and my work, have at it. I am under no illusions that I am or must be loved and admired by all. Hell, if I ain't tweaking the whiners I am off my mark, so I'm good. As one who holds exceptional confidence in my own abilities, I'm cool with it. Have at it y'all.
Lastly I take exceptional pride in one distinct aspect of this whole deal. My work continues on and AC does not accost me for issues of style or accuracy. As this is AC's forum, they can welcome or boot one on their whim and I'm still here pounding on the asshats so I must be operating within the bounds of acceptable presentation. If I were lying or misrepresenting, AC would nail me cause it's no secret they don't really care for me either. But in AC"s favor, despite my not being their favorite Source, I'm still here, so kudos to AC for not being asshats themselves!
So y'all have at it. I can withstand the scrutiny. Prove my facts are not so. Prove what I forward is one-sided and inaccurate BS - I DARE YA! So far no one has accomplished that goal, so clearly my 1100 plus articles are meritorious on their face. That is all I ever intended to do - offer my opinion based on sound and provable fact. One can hate my opinion but the facts and empirical evidence upon which I base my opinions are unassailable, so I'm cool with all of it.
Now y'all got talk about me some more...I love it when ya do, really I do. Sorta validates my work and all cause I know if many could have their way I'd have been long gone from here, yet here I sit, tweaking the asshats once more. Smells like victory!

Just because you haven't been booted off doesn't mean you're right!" It means EXACTLY that! Like I said, they pulled 3 of my articles b/c as Hatz said, Spock and Big Bird's love child whined. I just didn't feel like getting in a pissing war. I mean AC does run the joint so what's the point? In the end they will win in a pissing war...not that they'd be morally or factually right, but I am a GUEST here...their house, their rules. As an adult I get that. Does not make them right at all. And again, if I were wrong they'd boot me b/c we have been there before...like I said, prove me wrong. I'd welcome it. Hate my opinions is fine, but can't disprove my facts. THAT'S MY POINT!!!!!!!

Naw Jeff, I am not at all protesting...in fact I stated I like it. I don't blame anyone for not doing so on my articles cause I'll eat their lunch, so the "forums" are indeed the proper venue, but I am still surprised I am or were the topic of discussion. Not angered, but actually flattered. If my claim to fame as it were is to be hated by some, fine by me. And really good to hear from ya. Hope all is well on the shaky side.

Dude, me thinks thou doest protest too much. As for me, I think forums are for people with far too much time on their hands then I have...I think you secretly seek validation under that gruff exterior...lol. As for what you write, it is incredibly biased and short on fact. But hey, that's my opinion!

I no longer do the forum. Too much whining. As for you? Mom always said...if they're shootin' at ya, ya know you're doing something right.

I don't do forums Whippy. I don't give a damn what people say about me. As long as they talk about me, they are leaving some other poor soul alone. That's the good thing about having been shot. It leaves very few other things to impress you.
