Throughout my life, I have owned a multitude of vehicles: a VW rabbit, a Ford Thunderbird, a Chevy Oldsmobile, a Jeep Cherokee, and so on. Yet, the red Ford Windstar van that my husband and I presently own is by far the best vehicle of them all for many reasons.
Our van rarely needs any repairs.
In the many years that my husband and I have owned our van, it has only required a few minor repairs. Even though the present odometer reads over 150,000 miles, the van has yet to need a new transmission or any other major parts. The Timex phrase "Takes a lickin and keeps on tickin" definitely applies to our van.
Our van has enough room for our family as well as space to transport other people.
When it comes to having three children of various ages, we feel it is wise to have a vehicle that can provide room for everyone in the family to have their own personal space. Our van has a seating arrangement that makes this situation a possibility.
In addition, my family and I are very active in our church, and it seems that we are one of the families that helps to transport people to church services and other activities. In addition, our children have a number of friends who we are able to take places with us. The space that is available in our van allows us to perform both of these activities comfortably and efficiently.
Our van provides lots of room for transporting luggage and large objects.
Whenever our family goes on a road trip, and we take our van, we always have plenty of room for our luggage and necessary trip essentials. If we go shopping around town and have a large item that we need to get to our home, our van's seats fold down in such a way that we can transport the object ourselves.
Our van is a gift from a beloved family member.
Back in 2005, my mother-in-law gave the van to me and my husband as a gift. She felt that we could benefit from having a bigger vehicle for our growing family as well as a second automobile for backup. Due to this fact, the van has sentimental value as well as functional purpose.
A lot of people would probably pick a sports car or a more trendy vehicle as the best vehicle that they have ever owned, but for this wife and mother, my vote goes to my red Windstar. May you and your family have safe travels and experience happy trails.
