Resolution #1:
I will have an attitude change about resolutions. New Year's resolutions are not a sure fire way to start the year off badly. No, resolutions are the first step in improving my life. Taking charge and doing something to improve my life; that sounds good to me. My new attitude: there is no time like the present to start working on improving myself.
Resolution #2:
I will stop losing my keys, cell phone and glasses on a daily basis; even losing them every other day will not be acceptable. I will be an adult and put each of these items where they belong. No more placing them down just anywhere without paying attention to what I am doing. For this resolution to actually work, I'm going to need to find each of these items in order to put them where they belong. Sigh, this resolution stuff is just hard to do, but I'm going to do it. I'm going to get a bowl, box, basket or dish of some sort to be the place these precious items belong.
Resolution #3
I will get up the first time my alarm rings, or at least I will do a better job pretending to get up when the first alarm goes off. Okay, that needs adjusting a bit. Okay, how about within 15 minutes of the first time the alarm rings, I will get up. How's that? Well, it's going to have to do, because that's the best I know I can get myself to do.
Resolution #4
I will file away documents as I get them instead of making piles of documents that live on my desk and on top of my cabinets where they eventually grow so tall they fall over and move to their new home on the floor. I will get right on this project. Since I have to sort out all documents that will be used for my taxes this will be a handy thing to do. I will get right on this project, once I finished writing this article. Well, tomorrow will be soon enough, I'll need my rest before I start on this resolutions, besides it just occurred to me that I'll need some boxes to help me organize this mess.
Resolution #5
I will write more articles for Associated Content. Not just wheelchair chronicles stuff, but a little bit of everything i.e. reviews, humor, gardening tips, spiritual thoughts, and healing energy topics. I already have a feeling that this resolution will be easier to fulfill than the last one. As long as there are chores to avoid, I know I will have time and energy to write articles.
Resolution #6
I will use my iPod more. Well first, I will need to learn how to use my iPod better. I have had the thing over a year and still haven't figured out how to put both music and audio books on it. I can get radio podcasts on it and music, but for some reason all my audio books will not go to the audio book tab.
Resolution #7
I am determined that I will figure out how to stay logged in on Associated Content. Am I the only one with that problem? While I'm at it I want to figure out how to look for AC writers without having to use Google to do it. When someone comments on my articles, I want to read some of their work also and leave comments. I haven't been able to search names within Associated Content. This has been frustrating.
Resolution #8
While I am learning how to do things, I might as well add learning how to send a photo to someone from my camera. I just learned how to take photos, so I'm ready for the next step.
So here is it, my resolutions for the New Year. I know they are not earth scattering, but each will make a difference in my world. That is if I actually follow though. Time will tell. What are your resolutions for the New Year? What are the chances that you will actually follow through and do your resolutions? Good luck and many blessings to you and yours this year.

Post a CommentMy resolution was to be on Facebook less. That worked for about 10 days. LOL!
Very well done! I don't keep them either.. so I try not to make them. I make my goals from day to day really.
I like the one where you will get up the first time the alarm rings or at least look as though you are. Excellent article and thoughts ♥
I don't make them, but should. #4 is one I should follow. It's so easy to leave it until it's a big chore. Even filing once a week would keep it manageable. Good luck!
(continued from last comment I made) to make it easier for you to search for a contributor by name, if you are logged in to AC, look at the menu on top of the AC screen for 'Community' or use this link:
http://contributor.yahoo.com/community/resources.html
You will see 'forum', then 3 other topics, then 'contributor search'
So you can use that to find other writers. Hope this helps! good writing!
Hi Genie! I enjoyed your article and wanted to say I read your 2 of your other articles about your wheelchair but there were no comment boxes to leave comments on them. I don't know if you know but some articles currently do not show comment boxes. Also, if you are logged in, then beside your comments will be a photo (unless they are a guest or not logged in). If you don't see a photo, then either you are not logged in or the person leaving the comment is not logged in.
Your # 4 is what I'm bad at. I started a new resolution a month ago to take care of everything NOW instead of putting it in a pile and taking care of it later. It's helped tremendously!
Thanks for everyone's support. I really like Michele's idea.
I made a resolution not to make any more resolutions :) And, just Do it! cheers :)
I really need to be able to keep #2 and #3!
