My Review of Gain Joyful Expressons Apple Mango Tango Detergent

Laundry detergent is a soap that is used to get laundry clean during washings. It works on your clothes in about the same manner that soap cleans your hands. With that being said, laundry detergent is a huge business in the USA. There are so many different brands and scents to choose from that a person just might become overwhelmed while standing in the detergent isle at the local supermarket. I, like most people I assume, have switched "favorite" detergents many times during my adult life. I recently went looking for a new scent for my everyday use. I like something new every so often. So this is a review of my newest discovery, Gain Joyful Expressions Apple Mango Tango.

The first thing that you notice about this detergent is the scent. The product bottle states that the frangrance is "A Superior and Uplifting Scent Experience" and I completely agree with that statement. The first thing you notice is the sweetness of the scent. Then next you will notice the clear crisp scent of apple. After that the light scent of mango will tickle the nostrils. I can not get enough of the Apple Mango Tango fragrance.

After my first use of this detergent I was pleasantly surprised to see that my laundry held onto the Apple Mango Tango scent. This was the first detergent that I have ever used that had a scent that clings to my clothes for many days after washing. The Apple Mango Tango scent envelopes me while I'm washing clothes. It relaxes me and leaves me more inclined to do all of my laundry. When I go to town, other people would ask me what wonderful perfume I was wearing. When I would tell that that it was my detergent they would always have to know the name of the detergent. I am always happy to share any information about Gain's Apple Mango Tango.

One day I decided to do an experiment and see just how long the scent would last in my clothes. So I washed two blankets in Gain Apple Mango Tango. The first blanket was washed, dried, folded and packed away in a closet. Then the second blanket was washed, dried and immediately placed on my bed. The blanket on my bed held onto the Apple Mango Tango scent for approximately ten days before I no longer noticed it. That was ten days of continuous daily use. The blanket that had been packed away in the closet held the Apple Mango Tango scent for three whole weeks. After the three week mark the scent started to dissipate over the next week. So I guess you could say it really lasted four whole weeks from wash to actual lose of scent. Not bad in my book.

The only thing that I do not like about Gain's Apple Mango Tango is the price. I have shopped around locally and the cheapest price I have found is $5. This price is for the 100 fl oz liquid bottle size, which only lasts about a week and a half in my house since everyone digs up all their laundry when I have a new bottle of Apple Mango Tango. The bigger bottle is averaging at $10 per bottle here in my local area. The powdered versions are running around the same prices as their liquid counterparts. I am hoping that the price will go down after this detergent has been on the market for a longer amount of time.

This detergent smells great, it has a scent that lasts a nice long time and it cleans clothes just as well, if not better, than any of the higher priced detergents on the market that I have used. In my opinion, nothing beats the feeling that Gain Joyful Expressions Apple Mango Tango can invoke when my child curls up with her favorite blanket and says, "MMMM! This smells soooo good Mommy!" Even my husband, who notices nothing, mentioned how much he liked the new scent of his clothes. Statements like these let you know when you have a winner on your hands.

This review is only for the liquid version of Gain's Apple Mango Tango. While I have not personally tried the powder version, I am certain that it still has the same wonderful scent and cleaning capability as my beloved liquid. I highly recommend Gain Joyful Expressions Apple Mango Tango to anyone who is interested in a detergent that encloses your laundry in fragrance.
