My Review of Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Cotton

S
Well, I've done it - I've found another beauty product that I don't like. What product is this? This product that I speak of is none other than Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Cotton. I paid $22 for the Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Cotton, and have been mad at myself for paying that much for that eye shadow since the day I tried it out.

First let me say that the Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Cotton wasn't difficult to apply whatsoever. That was about the only thing that was good about the Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Cotton. I had trouble blending the Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Cotton in with my other eye shadows when I applied more than one eye shadow color to my eyelids. It was very difficult to get the Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Cotton to blend in with the other eye shadows. This fact about the Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Cotton really irritated me, to say the least.

The color of the Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Cotton didn't seem to emphasize my eyes, or make them look any nicer. The Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Cotton showed up as an ivory, or creamy white color on my eyelids, but it just didn't do anything for the appearance of my eyes.

The really bad problem I had with the Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Cotton is that it creased terribly on my eyelids. I had only had the Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Cotton on my eyelids for around two hours before it started to crease on them. I'm not talking about minimal eye shadow creasing; I'm talking about major eye shadow creasing. The Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Cotton creased so badly that I just wanted to remove it mid-day. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to remove the Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Cotton from my eyelids in the middle of the day, so I had to put up with it until I could use some makeup remover to remove it from my eyelids.

There is no way that I would even consider repurchasing the Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Cotton again in the future. The Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Cotton is just an overall bad quality product, and one that I definitely wouldn't want to repurchase. I'm still quite displeased that I spent that much money on the Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Cotton when I found out that I don't even like the product.

The Laura Mercier Eye basics are meant to be worn UNDER eyeshadow, not to be blended with it. In any case, shadow bases should only have a very sheer application otherwise they will crease. Furthermore, unless you have extremely light skin, that shade would probably only work for intensifying eyeshadow colors. If you have yellow undertone skin, wheat would be better to neutralize eyelid pigmentation.
